The All-Russian furniture summit was held in St. Petersburg on June 23-24th. The event was organized by the Furniture and Woodworking Industry Associations of Russia, a furniture industry alliance of North-West and an exhibition Association "RESTEK."
The summit is aimed to improve the existing legislation in the furniture producing industry, inform the interested parties in the business programs supported by the government in this area and rise woodworking production competitiveness.
All this became possible due to the sessions and address meetings covering a wide range of themes, from the problems existing in the furniture industry in general and up to production issues.
During the summit the Special economic zone "Alabuga" representative made a presentation, held a series of one-to-one meetings with Turkish and German associations, Russian furniture manufacturers.
Participation of the Special economic zone "Alabuga" in the All-Russian furniture summit 2011 is the opportunity to establish business contacts with leading of woodworking industry players of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Italy, Germany and China, aimed at export-oriented production. And there are all conditions for duty-free export of finished product to the SEZ "Alabuga".
By 2013 a Turkish company - MDF panels producer LLC "Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry" will launch a production activity. A short distance to raw materials will create additional possibilities and strengthen the woodworking industry position in the Special economic zone "Alabuga".
